Hi Students:
Hope that your semester is going well. Now’s the time to plan for next semester as well as your career!
IMPORTANT : The Learning Assessment Committee just finished assessing various skill levels that our undergraduates possess in critical areas such as oral and written communications skills, retention of key business core course topics, integration of business skills, and technology skills.
1) The Committee reports that many of our students are not remembering the basics from Intro to Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Principles of Finance, Principles of Marketing, Organizational Behavior, Management Science, Operations Management, and MIS. Please remember – you will need to use key topics from these courses in our capstone integrative course, Business Policy!! Stay tuned for learning helps and lists of key topics.
2) Oral and written communications skills must be at a high level for business graduates. HINT: most word processors have a spell checking or grammar checking program. Be sure to use it before turning in assignments. In Word 07, it’s in the “review” section. Be sure that your citations are correct.

Every semester the School of Business has to call and email students whose names we receive from the Registrar due to non-payment of their term bills. Be sure that you are not one of those students by planning ahead!! Remember, Advance Registration does not require bill payment any earlier than late registration. Bills are due in early January for all students. Payment plans and other options are available - more information is available at the online bill payment center: http://www.studentabc.rutgers.edu/
Rutgers University requires payment of tuition and fee charges by the Term Bill due date which is August 12th for the Fall semester and by January 3rd for the spring semester. Students who register after the first due date but before the first day of class are given approximately two weeks from the day they register to pay. Continuing students who register on or after the first day of class are expected to pay their term bills on the day they register, Payment Plans are available
Stop in or email if you have any questions, ideas, and suggestions!
