Welcome
to BizEd: A Leadership Program for High School Students
A unique program introducing high school students
to the challenges of a business college education and the opportunities
of the business world.
This two-week program was developed by faculty of
Rutgers University School of Business at Camden and first presented in
July 2001. The curriculum introduces high school students to the theory
and practice of accounting, finance, management, marketing and
technology with an exceptional and interactive learning format.
In July 2007, students from high schools in Burlington,
Camden, and Gloucester counties met leading area executives, visited
local companies, and participated in team building and problem solving
activities. The students spent time in a normal classroom environment,
took field trips to local businesses, worked in team situations and at
the end of the program applied their knowledge in a business case
competition presenting their results before a panel of executives. Each
member of the winning team received a laptop computer.
